I am someone who loves to host.
Even just writing this post about hosting make my heart happy, as if I’m expecting a few people over for a cozy meal on this rainy afternoon.
Whether it’s hosting family birthdays, a favorite things party, a Friendsgiving, or a simple brunch or dinner with some mom friends while our kids play, it truly brings me so much joy to put together a meal for the people in my life.
I love doing everything from curating a menu to baking and cooking beforehand to putting together a warm and inviting table for everyone to gather around.
With that said, it’s also a lot of work!
That’s why I always like to bring a thoughtful gift for the hostess.

My family’s Bread Wreath With Rosemary and Salt Recipe
My go-to’s for hostess gifts are…
- Bouquet of flowers from Trader Joe’s
- Handwritten thank you letter. And if I’m extra on top of things, I’ll include a printed photo or two of us!
- A couple of the items from the list below!
All in all, I think the key in picking out a hostess gift is giving your host something that makes them feel pampered or thought of.
It’s gifting them something they either didn’t know they needed or maybe have been wanting.
Below you’ll find 24 of those kind of gifts!
Here’s a roundup of hostess gift ideas…
A pretty ceramic jar that they can use anywhere in their home.
I have one on my kitchen counter with sea salt in it!

A bag of seriously good, strong coffee

If your host isn’t a coffee drinker, this tea is so delicious and comes in the prettiest tin.

And a pretty mug that will remind them of you while their enjoying a warm beverage (links to mint green travel mug and pink flower mug).

Flower travel mug – My husband got this for me for Christmas, and it’s my favorite mug! Not only is it so pretty, it keeps my drinks hot for hours (yes, you read that right).

A sea salt blend that will become their new favorite thing in the kitchen and they’ll want to add it to everything
My friend initially gifted me this, and now it’s one of my go-to’s for any kind of gift. Seriously, anyone I gift this to becomes instantly obsessed.
Check out their other products because everything they make is so so good. You could also buy multiple blends and make a bundled gift basket. And if your host is a baker, this company makes tasty sugar blends.

I add these pickled peppers to everything from eggs to pizza to soup ((and the oil is so so good to add to whatever your cooking!). And the pickled asparagus is one of my favorite appetizers, along with being one of my go-to gifts for hosts.

If you’re going to go with wine, go with this one. (I recently saw it at Trader Joe’s!)
It’s made with organic grapes, no unnecessary additives, and produced with full transparency. Oh and it was founded by Cameron Diaz and her friend, Katherine Power.
